Knife Sharpening/Repair

For over 30 years, Mr. Otomo has been bringing life back to your most prized knives whether they are simple home knives or special professional knives! If you notice a chip or dullness in your blade, he will sharpen or repair it for a very reasonable fee. Turn around is maximum 1-2 days. We are currently doing knife sharpening in the Albany NY area. We will pick up your knives and return them in 1-2 days. If you are out of this area, you can ship your knives. Please contact us for the address to ship your knives.

We can also change the handles on traditional Japanese knives. If your handle is worn out or if you would like a different color or style we can do that for you.

Sake Warmer Repairs

If your sake warmer stops working properly, you can arrange to have it picked up. In some cases we can fix your machine at your location but we prefer to have it in our shop to properly test that there is no longer any problem. (Note: we pick up only in the local Albany, NY area.)  We can order replacements for parts or fix existing issues. If you have a simple problem we can fix it within 1-2 days. However, if the problem requires more testing or we need to order a special part it will take longer.
